This instrument is primarily used to calibrate precision pressure gauges, pressure sensors, pressure transmitters, and other pressure measuring instruments. By connecting the device under test (DUT) to the manometer and comparing measurement results at set pressure points, it accurately determines the DUT’s error, ensuring precise quantity value transmission. It is one of the core instruments for establishing pressure measurement standards in metrology institutions at all levels.

Construction & Features

The fully automatic piston manometer consists of two main subsystems: the Intelligent Pressure Generation System and the Automatic Weight Loading System.

1. Automatic Weight Loading System

  • Binary Weight Loading System: Uses a binary code system. Requires fewer physical weights, simpler calculation logic, and results in a lower failure rate.

  • Pneumatic Drive: Each T-type concentric weight is equipped with its own independent cylinder and solenoid valve assembly. The drive device has a 5mm stroke. Upon receiving a command, all weights are adjusted synchronously. Weight loading/unloading time is ≤5 seconds, greatly improving overall efficiency.

  • Dust Cover Design: An overall dust cover protects weights from dust and humidity, ensuring the long-term precision and stability of the piston system.

  • Direct-Lift Loading Mechanism: Each weight uses a dedicated pneumatic cylinder for direct lifting/lowering. Instead of a 3-point or 4-point loading method, a tray loading system with a rubber contact surface is used, reducing wear and improving weight stability.

  • Integrated Sensors: Built-in temperature, humidity, rotation speed, and displacement sensors continuously monitor the piston system’s operational status.

  • Piston Material: The piston system, protective shaft, and piston rod are all made from high-strength, high-toughness tungsten carbide. The integrated anti-breakage protection system is patented.

  • Modular Design: The piston system is modular, making installation, disassembly, storage, and periodic inspection easy (a flight-grade carrying case is included).

  • Reliability: Fewer moving parts results in high reliability and convenient maintenance.

2. Intelligent Pressure Generation System

  • Pressure Generation: Uses a servo motor synchronized with a piston cylinder for precise and stable pressure adjustment.

  • Touchscreen Interface: A 10.1-inch touchscreen provides a user-friendly interface for controlling pressure generation, weight loading, measurement procedures, data logging, real-time data processing, display, and storage.

  • Pressure Output: One pressure output port with M20×1.5 thread (can be connected to multi-port expansion manifolds).

  • Communication Interfaces: Rich external interfaces support serial (RS485) or Ethernet communication for remote control.

  • Stabilization Time: System pressure stabilization time is ≤120 seconds.

  • Built-in Drain System: Prevents pipeline blockage.

  • Power Supply: AC (220±10) V, 50 Hz.

3. Data Acquisition & Monitoring Software

  • Workstations and other computers can run the fully automatic pressure testing software for both manual and automatic verification modes.

  • C/S Architecture: Provides a human-machine interface with real-time display of status parameters, measurement data, and monitoring information.

  • 3D Visualization: A dynamic 3D model intuitively displays key components (weights, piston) resembling the actual physical device.

  • Functions: Includes basic verification, data query, system settings, alarms, etc.

  • Data Storage: Both static and dynamic data are securely stored.

Advantages of Binary Weight Loading

  1. Simplified Operation: Instead of adding weights one by one, the binary system uses weights with bit weights (e.g., 1g, 2g, 4g, 8g). The required combination is determined by the target value, drastically reducing the number of operations and cumulative errors, making operation more efficient.

  2. Fast Combination Determination: Due to the inherent regularity of the binary system, operators can quickly determine the required weight combination mentally or with simple calculation, saving significant configuration time.

  3. Precise Value Matching: Binary weight combinations allow for finer and more accurate matching of target measurement values.

  4. Easy Expansion & Compatibility: Adding new bit-weight weights to expand the measurement range or integrating with other binary-based metrological equipment is straightforward, offering excellent compatibility and scalability for different measurement needs.
