What if the turbine flow meter fails?

Liquid turbine flow meter, as the name suggests, is a turbine flow meter that is very good at measuring liquid flow. When we choose and use the turbine flow meter, we should know some basic knowledge of the turbine flow meter. So we must know what disadvantages and advantages turbine flow meters have, and how we can use these advantages to avoid those disadvantages. Therefore, we must understand its full range of knowledge when using the turbine flow meter. Today, we will explain to you some common basic faults and maintenance methods of turbine flow meters for your reference.

First,When the fluid flows normally, there is no output, and the number of words in the total counter does not increase:
1. Check whether power cables, fuses, function selection switches, and signal cables are open or in poor contact
2. Check whether the printing plate and contact parts inside the output instrument have bad contact
3. Check the detection coil
4. Detect the internal fault of the sensor. The above 1-3 tests have confirmed that the fault is normal or the fault has been eliminated, but there is still a fault phenomenon, indicating that the fault is inside the sensor flow channel
The solution:
1. Use an ohmmeter to locate the fault
2. The fault detection of the printing board can be replaced by the “spare version” method, and the fault board can be replaced for detailed detection
3. Mark the position of the detection coil on the sensor body, unscrew the detection head, and move quickly under the detection head with an iron sheet. If the number of counter words does not increase, the coil should be detected for broken lines and solder joints
4. Remove the foreign matter, clean or replace the damaged parts, air blow or hand move the impeller after recovery, there should be no friction sound, replace the bearing and other parts should be re-calibrated to obtain a new instrument coefficient
Second, the flow is not reduced, but the flow output is gradually decreased:
1. Whether the filter is blocked. If the pressure difference of the filter increases, the debris is blocked
2. The valve spool on the flow sensor pipe section is loose, and the valve opening is automatically reduced
3. The sensor impeller is hindered by debris or the bearing clearance enters the foreign body, and the resistance increases and slows down
The solution:
1. Remove filters
2. Determine whether the valve handwheel is effectively adjusted and then repair or replace it after confirmation
3. Remove the sensor and verify it if necessary
Third, the fluid does not flow, the flow output is not zero, or the output value is unstable
1. The transmission line is poorly grounded, and external interference signals are mixed into the input end of the output instrument
2. The pipeline vibrates, and the impeller shakes accordingly, resulting in false signals
3. The stop valve is not strictly closed due to leakage, in fact, the output leakage of the instrument
4. Interference caused by deterioration and damage of circuit boards or electronic components inside the output instrument
