YUNYI Vortex flow meters are volumetric flow meters designed based on the “Karman vortex street” principle. When a fluid flows past a non-streamlined obstruction (vortex generator), regular vortices are alternately generated on both sides of the obstruction. The frequency of these released vortices is proportional to the fluid velocity. By precisely detecting the vortex frequency through built-in piezoelectric or capacitive sensors, the instantaneous and cumulative flow rates of the fluid can be calculated. Due to its simple structure, lack of moving parts, high reliability, and wide range of applicable media, it has become the dominant product for measuring the flow of steam, gases, and low-viscosity liquids.
