YUNYI intelligent vortex flow meter is a new type of gas flow instrument based on the vortex shedding principle. Its core lies in utilizing the stability of the Strouhal number within specific flow channels. As the fluid passes through a set of helical guide vanes, it is forced into rotation, forming a vortex core. This vortex core precesses within a venturi tube, with its precession frequency being directly proportional to the fluid velocity (i.e., volumetric flow rate). This frequency is detected by piezoelectric sensors. After temperature and pressure compensation via an internal microprocessor and sensors, the meter directly outputs mass flow or energy flow in standard conditions (Nm³). Integrating sensor, transmitter, and temperature/pressure compensation functions, it represents an intelligent, preferred solution for measuring small-to-medium flow rates in urban gas and industrial gas applications.
